Stewart-Warner R-1235 "The Aristocrat" (1933)
(wood tube tombstone radio)

Stewart-Warner R-1235 "The Aristocrat" (1933)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This the nicest example of this "Aristocrat" I have ever had for sale. The radio is all factory original, with a very good factory finish. The aluminum grille is perfect and as a decorative statement, was highly innovative for the times. The radio is a single AM band receiver and uses four tubes. The radio plays with good selectivity and amazing volume for the compact size. Note the highly detailed turned column bordering the speaker grille, and burled veneers decorating the face. All told, this is a very pretty radio. My tech has done his complete repair and the radio is playing perfectly. It also has a new power cord and plug for safe operation. 12-1/2"H x 10"W x 8"D.
