Gloritone 28 Cathedral (1931)
(x tube cathedral radio)

Gloritone 28 Cathedral (1931)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

U.S. Radio Corp. made fine quality radios under this label. They were a thirties maker, from Marion, Indiana. This qualifies as a "Grand Cathedral," as it measures a majestic 18-1/2"H x 15"W x 9-1/2"D. The radio has had the same complete restoration that all of the sets I offer, which includes all new filters and caps. The tubes are all tested, and replaced if they are less than 90 percent. The tuner has been aligned, so the tuning to your favorite channel is easy and accurate. The power cord has been replaced, so you are sure of safe operation for many trouble free years. This particular example retains a nice level of the original finish. There is a minor area of ever so slight rub off on the left side. You will never notice it, but I always like to let people know the pluses and minuses. The radio is a very fine playing radio, with clear and solid sound, and is a radio with fine selectivity.
