Rogers-Majestic 2621 (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

I have become a fan of Canadian built radios. First, you simply do not see many, as the population there was very small, and when collectors find them...they keep them. I admire the high quality construction, both inside and out. Any American company which wanted to sell in Canada, had to establish a distinct Canadian company. Canada had much more stringent requirements about the electronics, which you can always see in the huge transformers they required by law. So you have great and more internationally inspired design and a greatly higher quality internal construction. This is a great example. The set is in very fine condition, and highlighted by the very ornate dial. The radio has been thoroughly restored and plays as well as any set of the era. This is a very impressive radio, substantial in size. 18-1/4"H x 12-3/4"W x 11-1/2"D.
