Radiola 17 & Operadio Speaker (1927)
(x tube casket radio)

Radiola 17 & Operadio Speaker (1927)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This beautiful Radiola was the first AC set RCA ever made. I bought it from the estate of a man who restored radios for over 35 years. I have had this set and many others of his for quite a few years. This set still has its original finish, and plays well with a good aerial as this is, of course, a TRF receiver. I try not to sell radios that you can't listen to, therfore I paired this up with a unique speaker made by the Operadio company at about the same time period. They go really good together, and the speaker sounds great. This radio has the classic look, with beautiful brass escutcheons around the dial and knobs. This radio will ad class to any home. This set is very heavy around 50 lbs.
