Philco 53-566 (1953)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Philco 53-566 (1953)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Right out of the Jetsons! This is a stunning Mahogany Bakelite Philco Transitone. The radio is almost maroon in color. A striking futuristic looking radio from the early fifties! The "look" from the back is just as cool as the front! It has been electronically tuned and aligned and plays great! There is a second "Special Services" band that does work, but the frequency doesn't get much use these days. All five tubes are strong and the chassis is clean, too. Absolutely minimal wear. Once again, the fine folks at Philco built these radios to last and this is proof of it! If you'd like additional pics please let me know.
