Air Castle 106B (1947)
(Bakelite tube table radio)

Air Castle 106B (1947)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

A very dark, chocolate brown incredibly swirled Bakelite streamline masterpiece from the somewhat obscure Air Castle folks, for Spiegel, Chicago. There are variations from other manufacturers (i.e. Warwick Mfg.) called the Troubador Bullet. In any event, it's rare and it's beautiful! This 106B has its original dial cover, dial scale and back which are all superb! The five tubes (12SA7, 14A7/12B7, 35Z5, 12SQ7 & 50L6) are strong and all filter capacitors have been replaced. Physically, the radio is 'off' the ten scale! It's mint and solid! The chassis is clean and the sound is nice. If you'd like additional pics please let me know.
