Truetone D-692 (1936)
(x tube console radio)

Truetone D-692 (1936)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This fantastic looking radio sounds as good as it looks. It was Truetone's entry into the high end radio world. It has been totally electronically restored and plays very strong on AM and both Shortwave bands. This top of the line radio features eleven tubes, five which are audio tubes (with push pull audio output), plus an RF amplifier tube and a tuning eye. The speaker is a full range Utah field coil speaker on the lines of what companies like Scott and McMurdo Silver used in their radios. The radio sounds unbelievable. The cabinet was professionally refinished a few years ago and looks great. This radio would be one that any collector would be proud to own and enjoy. Please contact me for shipping options.
