THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!
These last R-7000's are great playing radios. Sound as good as the old ones but pick up a lot more FM/AM/Shortwave frequencies. There were only 25,000 made of the last Zenith Trans-Oceanic R7000-2 in 1981. The -2 has the gear driven dial mechanism which never breaks. This one has the bandswitch mechanism which does not click into the band. 75% of them are this way. You can still easily dial into each band. The case is in great condition. There are a couple small cracks. One on the front left side bottom of the bottom cover which is repaired. The other where the cord plugs in. It comes with a logbook and original cord. It is restored with all new electrolytic capacitors which will allow the radio to play another 40 years like new. It is also cleaned, lubed and each band is aligned for peak performance. One year warranty. The radio will be shipped back to you by USPS Priority which only takes 2-3 days.
