Echophone Commercial (EC) (1941)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This is one of the best playing and looking Echophone or Hallicrafters Commercial models I have worked on. Hallicrafters took over Echophone Radio Company in 1935. So you will see this radio and a few others titled Echophone or Hallicrafters. The Rider's manual calls for a 50 to 75 ft outdoor antenna. However, I picked up a ton of stations with a 20 ft indoor antenna. It has a painted metal cabinet which has a few touch ups on the side but is in excellent condition overall. The built-in speaker is in excellent shape as well as all six tubes. It has three bands covering 545 KHz to 30.5 MHz - AM and all the shortwave you need. I have replaced all the electrolytic and wax caps. I also cleaned, oiled and aligned the radio to play like it did when it was new. It had all its parts but one foot and two screws. Awesome radio for the price.
