Zenith Trans-Symphony 2000 (1960)
(plastic tube portable radio)

Zenith Trans-Symphony 2000 (1960)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

Zenith claims this was the first AM/FM all transistor radio built between 1960 and 1963. It was design to complement the Trans-Oceanic (TO) 1000 which was AM/Shortwave. It is a superb FM player with 11 transistors (two more than the TO 1000 it complemented.) It also has a larger speaker than the TO 1000. I replaced all the electrolyte capacitors and aligned it for peak performance. The case has some light scratches and small pitting on the chrome that you would normal see for a 50 year old radio. Plays with eight D cell batteries. Email for questions.
