Hallicrafters S-38 Receiver (1946)

THIS RADIO HAS BEEN SOLD!

This was a nice entry level shortwave set and is getting rarer to find. The receiver is a four band superheterdyne tuning .54 to 32 megacycles. It is the first one in the S-38 series and the only one that has six tubes rather than the five that came with the later models. It has been electronically restored and plays well on all bands with an external antenna. This radio plays best with a 50 to 75 ft outdoor antenna (wire). It has all the original knobs, speaker and bottom. The back fell apart so I replaced it with an exact reproduction.
