Standard Micronic Ruby SR-G430 (1964)

Standard Micronic Ruby SR-G430 (1964)

Very nice original survivor. This is a complete outfit with all boxes, case, original earphone with case and all instructions/warranty card. Even included are the original batteries, but obviously not usable. Selling untested, as-is. I don't see any obvious reason this set will not work as it appears to have spent its life in the box. Clean inside. $110.00. (1240069)

Zenith Royal 7000 Trans-Oceanic (1969)

Zenith Royal 7000 Trans-Oceanic (1969)

This is a near perfect example of the iconic, made in America, Zenith Trans-Oceanic that ushered in the 1970's. Powerful and sensitive, working very well on all bands. $329.00. (1240064)

 Restoration philosophy

My restoration philosophy has been to leave these classic radios in their original condition as much as possible.  I prefer not to refinish or repaint a set unless it's absolutely necessary.  When this is necessary, I use a professional person for refinishing & repainting.  I have always tried to obtain the nicest original sets and although some may not be working, they will be a clean platform in which to begin a solid restoration.  Radios will be listed as working originals, working electrically restored or non working originals, "as is."  Any repairs that have been made, and any cosmetic flaws associated with the radio, are completely disclosed.  I have been collecting radios since getting out of college in 1986.  I have a fairly vast collection spanning all eras of radio evolution.  Please contact me for any "wants" that you may have; I may have it!  Thank you.

Warranty information

All radios are tested to make sure they are playing prior to shipping.  A lot of jostling in shipping can make tubes loose and connections become unconnected.  These are some of the unforeseen results associated with shipping.  I have no control over how the shipper treats the package.  If you purchase a radio and it is not working and playing when you receive it, I will offer several suggestions to help it work.  If those suggestions don't solve the problem, you are welcome to ship it back to me for any repairs that are necessary.  The radio will be shipped back to you at my expense, or your purchase price will be completely refunded if the set can't be repaired.

Conditions for return

I want you happy with any radio you purchase from me.  If for any reason, you are not satisfied with the radio you bought in the condition stated in the original ad, please contact me within three (3) working days to begin discussing any issues you have.

Shipping

I pride myself as a "quality" packer and realize the importance of delivering the radio to the customer without damage. We probably all experienced the eBay radio purchase where upon opening a single flimsy box with marginal to no packing material and find a broken radio we couldn't wait for.
