Radio Keg RKS-5 (1934)

Radio Keg RKS-5 (1934)
This is a very rare novelty radio made from a genuine oak cask in the early 30's. Some say it was a commemorative of the repeal of prohibition. It was built by RK Radio Laboratories, also known as Clago Radio Corp. Completely restored original chassis with all new resistors and capacitors. Plays loud and clear and my guarantee applies. It picks up several stations with about a 6 foot antenna wire. Each stave has been repressed and reinforced with epoxy for many years of continued performance. The finish is a natural red oak stain, not lacquered. Knobs are original wood, dial is original. 20 pounds packed. 10"W x 12"D x 12"H (including stand).  $350.00. (0100073)

Sonora RQU222 (1946)

Sonora RQU222 (1946)
This is a gorgeous Bakelite post war relic that shows the "streamlined" motif of the late thirties and early forties. This particular model even has a curved "waterfall" style dial glass (yes, glass not plastic). Remember that anything manufactured in 1946 was actually designed at or before 1941. Everything went on hold for the war. I am not sure if they ever sold this model unpainted or not but when I stripped the old paint off, it revealed a beautiful pristine natural black/brown marble pattern that is just too nice to cover up, so I polished it up and here it is. The radio has been completely restored, all new capacitors; the tubes and resistors replaced where needed and aligned for best performance. Above all, my guarantee applies. It plays loud and clear and picks up several stations with the internal antenna. The last shot is a close up showing the detail of the finish. Minor flaws: The back has the very top part broken off but the antenna is intact. There was a very small chip (about 3/8") on the very bottom of the right "foot." It has been repaired with brown epoxy. There was never a crack.  $155.00. (0100086)

My guarantee applies. 9 pounds packed. 10-1/2"W x 6-1/2"H x 6"D.  $225.00. (0100081)

Benrus 10B01B15B Clock Radio (1955)

Benrus 10B01B15B Clock Radio (1955)
Benrus was a major watch manufacturer from the 20's to the 70's. Ironically, the clock movement was not made by them; it is a Telechron. This radio is super high quality; the cabinet is solid brass and the front glass is beveled crystal. The radio has been completely restored and it plays loud and clear. Clock has been cleaned and lubed, it runs smoothly and quietly. My guarantee applies. all the tubes are even Benrus labeled! 9 pounds.  $60.00. (0100051)

Gloritone 58-38 (early 50s)

Gloritone 58-38 (early 50s)
This is a cute little five tube radio, but I can't find any information on it. Not sure if it is the same as the old US Radio and TV or not; I am thinking probably not, but it is a great little set and it plays loud and clear. I have completely restored it and my guarantee applies. The cabinet is plastic, not Bakelite. It has been professionally repaired on the top, pretty hard to tell from the outside. Guaranteed for a lifetime never to crack on a repair.  $110.00. (0100079)
