National HRO GR9 General Coverage Receiver

RCAF (Royal Canadian Air Force) WW2 general coverage receiver has four coils in a blue grey wooden container and has a separate power supply (bathtub). Very few of these sets were commissioned by Canada and even fewer are now extant. This set is in excellent electrical and cosmetic condition and is operational. Sold only as a set. A rare addition for a National or Military collection this is a museum quality set. A National 8 ohm speaker in Mint Condition is included.  $1,465.00. (0970021)

This Canadian Marconi Ltd. radio is a blond, wooden, Standard Broadcast Band, six-tube, and phonograph connectable receiver, carefully restored to receive brilliantly. The cabinet is in very good condition. The tubes are good old stock and the parts original. Made by Phillips Industries of Canada Ltd., located in Toronto. It is a Broadcast / Short Wave Band, five-tube, brown Bakelite receiver with attractive European features. Made by Hallicrafters Canada Ltd. This rare plastic, white painted five-tube, Standard Broadcast band receiver & clock was manufactured for the domestic market in Toronto, Canada. The set is complete and has been carefully restored. Both clock and radio operate according to design. The set is complete and has good tubes; the cabinet, in excellent condition, has been repainted and has some paint rubs. The tuning knob at the bottom front of the radio is a unique thumbwheel drive. The Hallicrafters logos and the "precision built" acclamation are carefully preserved.  $150.00. (0970014)

Made by Philips Industries of Canada Ltd. in Toronto. This is a brown Bakelite, Broadcast / Short Wave band, battery powered four-tube receiver with a decided European style. Carefully restored, this receiver is in excellent operating condition and is housed in an original, undamaged cabinet. Philips had these radios assembled for sale in Canada with North American tubes. The set is wired for a modern battery pack at 1.5V and 90V A and B supply respectively. The battery pack Velcro attaches to the rear, outside cover of the set. This is a beautifully designed set as well as a handsome one.  $145.00. (0970013)

This unique battery radio, manufactured by Dominion Electrohome Industries, was also referred to as Electrohome Viking. Viking was one of Hudson's Bay Co. brand names sold exclusively by the firm. This four-tube Standard Broadcast and Short Wave Band, large brown plastic receiver has been carefully restored and operates on a modern battery pack. The unique dual glass provides the short wave band in separate columns both in megacycles and meters. The A supply is 1.5V and the B 90V. The battery easily fits inside the ample cabinet that is in excellent condition. The parts are original and the tubes good. This was an upscale product for the affluent market and with the short wave band was dubbed the Global.  $145.00. (0970012)

Made by Hallicrafters Canada Ltd., in Toronto, Canada. This is a rare, painted white plastic, Standard Broadcast, five-tube receiver. The radio has the original parts and good tubes and it has been carefully restored. It operates excellently and the cabinet is in good condition without cracks or hairlines. There are some rubs in the paint due to aging. This is a rare Canadian Hallicrafters, produced for the domestic and not amateur market.  $145.00. (0970011)

Canadian made radio. Rare wood Lunch Box style, carefully restored, light brown, leatherette-covered, four-tube, Standard Broadcast, battery receiver in very good condition. Operated with modern battery pack: A supply 1.5 VDC (4 D cells in parallel) and B supply = 90 VDC (10 x 9v. cells in series). Cabinet is in good condition but with minor stains on grille cloth. The Firestone Tire and Rubber Company of Canada situated in Hamilton, Ontario, manufactured this rare four-tube, carefully restored, brown Bakelite, Standard Broadcast Band battery-powered receiver with a ruby red grille cloth (not original) and white tuning knobs. The cabinet is in excellent condition without hairlines or cracks. Part of the Firestone decal has been lost. The radio operates well and is equipped with good tubes. It has been adapted to permit the use of a modern battery pack (A = 1.5V and B 90V.) that may be mounted on the inside the rear cover.  $115.00. (0970005)
