I want them to last another 60 years or more. I will not sell junk. If the radios do not meet my standards, they do not ship. I have several folks that can send you references on my work. Candle PTR-83 (1962)

1962 Candle eight-transistor AM radio. What a nice collectable specimen. It is orange in color. It has no chips or dents. It had a crack in the upper left corner; I repaired the crack and reinforced it with fiberglass, and Epoxy on the inside. You will have to look real close to find the crack now. I polished the area very well. I restored the radio with new electrolytic caps, and retuned the circuits. I cleaned it inside and out. The audio is clear, and goes to full volume. Restored Channel Master eight-transistor radio with leather case. This radio has two bands: AM broadcast, and SW (old Marine band). It receives lots of AM broadcast radio stations across the entire AM band. The Marine band is a nighttime SW band now. It covers 1.8 MHZ to 4.2 MHZ. I was able to receive CHU Canada on 3330 KHZ, Hams on 3.5 to 4.0 MHZ, and 160 meter band 1.7 MHz to 2.0 mhz. WWV on 2.5 MHZ, and many foreign broadcast stations with the internal antenna. I do not have the external telescoping antenna for these radios. I restored this radio with brand new electrolytic caps, battery clip, and battery holder. Here is a nice restored to working condition Magnavox Magna-Mate seven-transistor radio. Imagine seven transistors in this little radio that's only 2"H x 1-3/4"W. I did have to go in, and repair this little pistol. It plays lots of AM broadcast radio stations, and loud. This was considered a key chain radio. It is missing the chain. No chips, or cracks in the plastic. Some minor scratches. I tried to find a battery, but could not accomplish this yet. I did bench test it with 2.6 volt bench supply. Vintage American made Zenith seven-transistor AM radio restored. This is a great looking, and working Zenith "Owl Eye" radio. I replaced all the electrolytic capacitors with brand new stock. Checked, and replaced transistors as needed (one in the first I.F.), cleaned inside and out including the battery connections. This radio has nice clear good audio, and receives lots of AM broadcast radio stations across the entire band. There was one crack in the plastic in the earphone area. I repaired the crack, and reinforced it on the inside with epoxy. I polished the outside where the crack was. The crack is almost invisible now. Here is a nice collector's Zenith Royal 500D eight-transistor chassis no. 8AT40Z2 AM radio. This radio is often referred to as an "Owl Eye" radio. I restored this radio with all brand new electrolytic capacitors, and tuned the circuits for great reception. This radio will receive Standard AM broadcast radio from great distances, I was able to receive Toronto, CA at nite on 740 KHZ. This is a nice Maroon Zenith 500D with no cracks, chips, or dents. I did have to repaint the gold front bezel. The audio is clear, and goes to full volume. The battery compartment is clean, and no rust or corrosion.
