Emerson 707 Tube Portable (1954)

Emerson 707 Tube Portable (1954)

Historical set. The early developers of the infamous TR-1 by Regency used this set to help them design the first marketed transistor radio. While this is not a transistor radio, it was one of the smallest tube radios back in 1954. This example is in good condition considering its age: just a hairline crack on the left front and a couple nicks and stress marks near the battery. This is very common damage for these old fragile sets. It comes with leather case, too. I tried to rig it up but couldn't get it to work with power supply. I didn't investigate.  $140.00. (1430103)

Emerson 888 "Explorer"

Emerson 888 "Explorer"

Nice radio; no damage, no cracks, no chips, no hairlines. Hardly a scratch and it works very well. It's nice and loud and picks up lots. The leather case snap is torn and it is brittle.  $250.00. (1430109)

Magnavox AW-100 AM/SW

Nice Magnavox; their first shortwave transistor radio! It works very loud and actually picks stuff up well on SW. AM picks up stations too and loud.
